British Airways said that the cancellations had been scheduled in advance and that customers had received enough warning. On Friday, EasyJet made the announcement that it will be canceling more than 200 flights during the week of the half term. Due to the fact that many people are leaving town for the Jubilee weekend, the current half-term break is the busiest travel time that has occurred since before the outbreak.

Passengers have reported seeing a lot of mayhem at airports such as Gatwick Airport, Manchester Airport, and Bristol Airport.

In the event that a passenger’s flight is canceled, they should, if at all feasible, be allowed to rebook themselves onto another flight on the same day that they were originally scheduled to depart. This is the true even if the sole available tickets are on an airline that is competing with you. Passengers whose flights were canceled with little notice and the airline is found to be at fault are eligible for monetary compensation.

EasyJet is going to eliminate a row of seats from its aircraft, which will make it possible for the airline to run its flights with a smaller number of cabin staff members. A significant number of the issues are the result of a staffing shortage in crucial departments, such as airport security and cabin crew. I’m concerned that some of these challenges may persist into July since it’s taking a long time for airports and airlines to hire the requisite number of employees, said Paul Charles, CEO of the PC Agency, in an interview with Express.co.uk.

“Staffing shortages are causing delays in airport security lines, which in turn leads to the cancellation of flights owing to a lack of available flight crew,”

“The slow processing of obligatory security permits by the government for new starts is contributing to the delays that are preventing sufficient resources from being allocated to the appropriate regions.” All of these problems are made worse by the fact that there are just fewer individuals available to recruit.

“There has been a contraction of the workforce, either as a result of people being discouraged by salaries being too low or as a result of people being drawn to employment in Europe that pay greater earnings, giving them little motivation to come to the UK.”
