Las Vegas Motorway Closes Weekend For Bridge Destruction

Due to the fact that demolition work is scheduled to take place this weekend, the Nevada Department of Transportation has announced that Interstate 15 will be closed in both directions from Russell to Flamingo roads.

As part of the demolition of the south section of the Tropicana Avenue bridge that spans Interstate 15 and Frank Sinatra Drive, the motorway will be closed beginning at nine o’clock tonight and continuing until five o’clock on Monday, according to the officials.

As a result of the closure of all ramps at Tropicana and Interstate 15, as well as the Flamingo Road onramp to southbound Interstate 15, the Harmon Avenue ramps at Interstate 15, the access to Arena Drive from northbound Interstate 15, the Russell Road onramp to northbound Interstate 15, and the Las Vegas Boulevard onramp to northbound Interstate 15, officials have said.

This closure is a component of a larger project that involves the enlargement of an interchange.

Over the course of the weekend, motorists are advised to steer clear of the portion of Interstate 15 that is located between the Spaghetti Bowl intersection and the I-15/215 South interchange. “Detour routes will be marked with signs,” the officials stated.
