Ana’s Sustainable Fuel Program Expands

A look at the most recent commitment that ANA has made to the environment.
Today marks the inauguration of the most recent SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel) Flight Initiative that was developed by All Nippon Airways, better known as ANA. Because of this, the airline’s business clients will have the opportunity to participate in the company’s efforts to reduce its impact on the environment.

Flight Initiative of the ANA

The SAF Flight Initiative, which is being implemented by ANA, is the first of its sort to be implemented by an Asian airline. Companies who rely on ANA for business travel and the shipment of goods will be able to lower their carbon footprints thanks to this program, while ANA will be able to increase its use of SAF. Itochu Corporation, the Japan Transport and Tourism Research Institute (JTTRI), and Nomura Holdings, Inc. were among the many organizations that contributed to the successful launch that took place on Tuesday.

We are thrilled to announce that we will be making the SAF Flight Initiative available to some of Japan’s most prestigious businesses. As the first airline in Asia to provide a program for lowering carbon emissions via SAF, ANA is delighted to be a pioneer in the field of sustainability. We also look forward to expanding our program in collaboration with more partners in the near future. – Shinichi

ANA’s current President and Chief Executive Officer is Mr. Inoue.

ANA is dedicated to more responsible environmental practices and is using a variety of strategies to achieve its sustainability objectives in order to fulfill this commitment. The airline is collaborating with businesses that are part of the ACT FOR SKY alliance as well as other businesses in order to increase the production of SAF in Japan. In addition to producing more SAF, ANA is collaborating with fuel providers such as Neste and LanzaJet Inc., as well as other manufacturers located abroad, to construct a supply chain that is environmentally friendly.

Not only will the airline be better positioned to meet its lofty Sustainable Development Goals as a result of the creation of the SAF Flight Initiative by ANA, but the whole customer experience will also be enhanced by this initiative. ANA is of the opinion that if numerous initiatives, including as the corporate and cargo programs, are brought together under the umbrella of the SAF Flight Initiative, workers will be given more agency as they collaborate with partners to accomplish the company’s sustainability targets for 2030 and 2050. The ANA has set a goal to achieve zero emissions overall by the year 2050.
