Turkish Airways has re-launched a stopover operation in Istanbul, enabling passengers to take use of their layover time to tour the city. The service, which was first established in 2017 and received positive feedback from travelers, was discontinued at the onset of the epidemic.
Turkish Airlines will give economy class passengers with a one-night stay in a four-star hotel in order to allow them to spend more time in the city when they have lengthy connections. Business class customers will get two nights in a five-star hotel as a thank you for flying business class.
Turkish Airlines’ general manager, Bilal Ekşi, stated: “We hope to demonstrate the warmth of Turkish hospitality as well as the unique wonders of Istanbul to our passengers who choose to stay in stopover accommodations, while also contributing to the development of tourism in Turkey and increasing the number of Turkish Airlines transfer passengers.”
Additionally, passengers may extend their first free lodgings by taking advantage of special Turkish Airlines rates at contracted hotels, allowing them to see even more of Istanbul.
