Travellers will be allowed back into PNG

Papua New Guinea has officially opened its borders to international visitors who have been properly vaccinated and have received the necessary booster vaccination (PNG).

A negative Covid-19 test must, however, have been performed at least 72 hours before to departure, and all visitors will be re-tested once they arrive in the United States.

Even in the event of an unfavorable outcome, travelers will be free to continue their trip around PNG.

Passengers traveling by domestic planes will have their temperature taken and will be required to submit a National Department of Health form before taking off. Public transportation is no longer subject to Covid-19 regulations, although public meetings are still limited to 100 persons; religious gatherings, schools, educational institutions, marketplaces, and retail centers are excluded from these limits.

Visas on arrival are not presently available, thus all travelers must submit an application for a visa well in advance of their departure date. Prior to the Covid epidemic, the tourist industry in Papua New Guinea was pleased to have had substantial expansion in all areas, with a particular emphasis on culture, diving, hiking, and bird viewing.

Princess Anne will pay a visit to Papua New Guinea in April as part of the Queen’s platinum jubilee festivities, according to the Royal Family.
