Flying To Hong Kong Will Be Resumed By United Airlines

United Airlines will restart regular service between San Francisco and Hong Kong on May 28th, the airline said today. As a consequence of COVID-19, the company’s planned activities have been put on hold for a period of 25 months.

According to the Cirium platform, the airline will operate a daily service using a Boeing 777-200 aircraft with 276 seats. United will provide a total of 1,932 weekly tickets on each leg of the journey.

As for the current frequency of flights between the two cities, Cathay Pacific Airways operates Airbus A350s on a weekly basis.

Beginning on July 1st, flights between Newark and Hong Kong are planned to commence. However, there is no official word on whether or not these activities would be resumed in the near future.

Flight departure and arrival timings

UA 869 departs San Francisco (SFO) at 1:15 p.m.* and arrives in Hong Kong (HKG) at 6:45 p.m.*

UA 862 departs Hong Kong (HKG) at 11:15 a.m.* and arrives in San Francisco (SFO) at 8:50 a.m.*
