US Airlines Introduces Summer 2022 Caribbean Routes From $79 - TravelrNews

US airlines are continuing to establish new hubs throughout the Caribbean. A number of airlines have announced new flights linking cities in the United States to destinations such as Jamaica, Guadalajara, Cancun, and even the Caribbean island of Guyana.

In addition to flights to Guadalajara and Monterrey, Mexican cities, Frontier Airlines will provide 27 additional direct routes beginning on May 5.

According to Daniel Shurz, Senior Vice President, Commercial of Frontier Airlines, “We are excited to announce further expansion of our international network with flights to Guadalajara (GDL) and Monterrey (MTY) in Mexico from Las Vegas.”

For a limited time, the airline is selling flights from Houston-Intercontinental (IAH) to Cancun (CUN) for as little as $79 per person (introductory price). Caribbean Airlines has joined the fray, establishing a new route between Guyana and Houston that will operate from this month through the end of June.

With effect from March 22, the airline will begin operating flights between Georgetown and Houston Intercontinental three times per week.

Passengers will be able to connect with the Caribbean Airlines hub in Trinidad and Tobago, which is located in Port of Spain. A new year-round service between Miami and Kingston has also been launched by Frontier Airlines, with three weekly flights operating between the two cities.

Meanwhile, American Airlines has announced the launch of a new nonstop service from the United States to Jamaica. The airline will operate its first route from Austin, Texas, to Montego Bay, Jamaica, on June 4, according to the company. Every Saturday, one of the new flights will take off and land at the airport.

According to Francine Carter Henry, Tour Operator and Airlines Manager at the Jamaica Tourist Board, “It’s nice to see our long-standing connection with American Airlines continue to flourish.”

In the wake of the additional flights, we anticipate a significant increase in the number of people arriving in Montego Bay.
