Turkish Airlines Relaunches Famous Bali-Istanbul Routes

Turkish Airlines has restored its direct route between Bali and Istanbul, which was suspended two years ago due to the coronavirus epidemic. The route is again fully operational. On Tuesday, the airline’s first direct flight between Istanbul and Bali since 2020 touched down at Bali Ngurah Rai International Airport, the province’s principal airport.

The reinstatement of the road was confirmed by Faik Fahmi, the president of Angkasa Pura I. Also enthusiastic about the restoration of the direct route, Faik said that additional foreign flights will attract more people to the Indonesian province of Sulawesi, which is an island region.

The aircraft touched down in the early evening of March 29 with approximately 300 people on board. Despite the fact that the direct flight from Istanbul had been in the air for more than a dozen hours, it returned to Istanbul later that night with more than 200 passengers.

In addition, Faik noted that the aircraft was 70% filled, which he considered to be an auspicious indication. It is not always the case that people are ready to travel, thus the large number of passengers arriving in Bali is a positive indicator for the destination.

Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays will be the days that the route will operate. It is expected to transport around 500 passengers each day to the international terminal of Bali Ngurah Rai International Airport on average.

Turkish Airlines launched a direct route between Istanbul and Bali in July 2019, however the carrier was forced to cancel the service in early 2020 because to the pandemic.

Even if Turkish Airlines had want to reopen the route sooner, it is unlikely that many customers would have attempted to do so until lately. Tourism quarantine laws in Bali were not relaxed until March 7, and vacationers were not interested in spending any of their holiday time in quarantine during that time period.

Visitors who are properly vaccinated will no longer be required to report to quarantine upon arrival. Tourists who are unable to give confirmation of complete immunization will still be sent to quarantine.

Visitors must also undergo a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test after arriving, and they must remain in their hotel room until the findings are negative.
