All remaining Covid-19 travel restrictions for minors under the age of 18 have been eliminated in Tunisia, and the country has also discontinued the use of its passenger locator form.
On Saturday, the Tunisian National Tourist Office in the United Kingdom and Ireland notified that the new guidelines had gone into force (26 February).
It implies that minors under the age of 18 will no longer be required to provide proof of having tested negative for Covid-19 before to departure, as well as to fulfill any vaccination certificate or passport requirements.
Completely vaccinated adult immigrants do not need to give any proof of a negative pre-departure test, but they must be in possession of a valid vaccination certificate or pass in order to enter the country.
When it comes to adult travelers who have not yet had a complete Covid-19 vaccination, the majority of them will have proof of either a negative PCR test for Covid-19 performed up to 48 hours before departure or a negative antigen test taken up to 24 hours before departure. They will also be required to self-isolate for a period of five days at a predetermined location upon arrival.
People arriving in Tunisia are still being subjected to random testing. Anyone who tests positive during a random arrival test must self-isolate for five days, or seven days if they are suffering from chronic symptoms.
“The Tunisian passenger locator form has been deactivated till further notice,” the TNTO said.
