Travellers Will Be Able To Enter Switzerland Beginning May 2, 2022

Are you planning a trip to Switzerland? The country of Switzerland, one of the most popular tourist destinations for foreign travelers, will officially open its doors to all visitors on May 2, 2022, marking the beginning of a new era for visitors from across the globe.

The Swiss State Secretariat for Migration (SEM) has declared that all admission restrictions that had been in place during the period of the epidemic would be lifted with effect from May 2, 2022. This is the first time that this has been revealed.

Regarding this, Ritu Sharma, Deputy Director and Marketing Head – India, Switzerland Tourism, stated that Switzerland is at or near the top of the wish lists of avid travellers from all over the world, who have been eagerly awaiting the opportunity to visit the country without being burdened by paperwork for the past two years.

According to sources, Switzerland began removing some of the most significant COVID-19-related travel and immigration restrictions in the middle of February. Furthermore, according to the most recent declaration, the basic norms that were in effect before to the epidemic will be reinstated.

As of right moment, all visitors to Switzerland must have a valid recuperation or immunization certificate in order to be granted entrance without limitation. Travelers will no longer be needed to provide either a valid recovery or immunization certificate once the new entry restrictions come into effect, however.

The Swiss authorities have said that, starting on May 2, 2022, travelers would only be needed to obey other laws, such as having a valid passport or visa, if any such requirement applies to their circumstances.
