Qatar Airways Resumes Gatwick Flights - TravelrNews

Qatar Airways will restart flights to London Gatwick Airport on June 5, 2022, after a hiatus. It will fly a daily service from Gatwick to Doha on a state-of-the-art Boeing 787 Dreamliner, which will have 22 seats in Business Class and 232 in Economy Class. The airline has won several awards for its service. The Boeing 787 Dreamliner is a cutting-edge aircraft in terms of environmental performance. When compared to other comparable aircraft, it burns 20 percent less fuel and emits 20 percent less CO2.

With the addition of daily flights to London Gatwick, passengers will be able to enjoy seamless connectivity to nearly 150 destinations across the airline’s extensive global network via the Hamad International Airport, including popular destinations in the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Australasia, as well as destinations in the United States and Canada.

In addition to Qatar Airways’ recently launched flights to Doha from Gatwick by joint business partner British Airways, the resumption of the London Gatwick service means the airlines can jointly offer more options between London and Doha and beyond, while also earning Avios frequent flyer points along the way.

Customers in the United Kingdom will now have access to four gateways, including five daily trips from London Heathrow, 18 weekly flights from Manchester, and four weekly services from Edinburgh, which will increase to daily service from 2 June 2022.

“Our commitment to the UK market has been unshakable, and we have operated regularly and dependably during the epidemic, so I am glad that we can restart our popular service to London Gatwick,” stated His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive. We provide good connection to and from the United Kingdom, allowing travelers to have more options and convenience.

We are celebrating the 25th anniversary of the beginning of our flights to London Heathrow, which began in March 1997. “This year is particularly memorable for us, not least because it marks the 25th anniversary of the beginning of our flights to London Heathrow in March 1997.”

Qatar Airways, a multi-award-winning airline, was named ‘Airline of the Year’ at the 2021 World Airline Awards, which were organized by the international air transport rating organization Skytrax. Qatar Airways has won several awards throughout the years. A number of other awards have been bestowed upon it, including the titles of “Best Business Class,” “Best Business Class Airline Lounge,” “World’s Most Comfortable Business Class Airline Seat,” “Best Business Class Onboard Catering,” and the “Best Airline in the Middle East.” The airline has maintained its unrivaled position at the top of the industry by winning the major award for an unprecedented sixth consecutive year (2011, 2012, 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2021).

As part of this achievement, Qatar Airways has also became the first global airline in the world to get Skytrax’s coveted 5-Star COVID-19 Airline Safety Rating. HIA has been recognized for its accomplishments, including becoming the first airport in the Middle East and Asia to get a Skytrax 5-Star COVID-19 Airport Safety Rating.

They give reassurance to passengers across the globe that the airline’s health and safety procedures have been subjected to the highest possible levels of expert, independent inspection and evaluation before being implemented.
