Miami-Orlando High-Speed Rail Will Open In 2023

The beginning of the next year, 2023, is when the new high-speed rail link that will shortly connect Miami with Orlando International Airport is scheduled to start for service. Once it is operational, the line that will be run by Bright Line would link passengers traveling between Orlando’s primary international airport and the central business district of Miami in a span of three hours using trains that are capable of reaching speeds of up to 125 miles per hour.

It is also planned to add new stops and routes in the future, including the installation of stations on Disney Springs as well as in the region of Tampa Florida. This will take place in the future.

Who is in charge of establishing the new route for the high-speed train?

Bright Line is the firm that is developing a new high-speed rail line that will soon be able to carry people from Miami to Orlando International Airport and vice versa. This route is expected to be completed in the near future.

The firm takes great pride in the fact that it is “the sole provider of contemporary, ecologically friendly long-distance rail in America” and that it constructs its lines using materials that are entirely recycled and created in the United States.

According to the latest reports, there are around 1,200 people working to finish constructing the new road. The whole price tag for the undertaking comes in around $2.7 billion.

The project entails the construction of a new road that is about 170 kilometres long.

The new railroad line is now around 80 percent complete in terms of its construction.

High-speed trains operated by Brightline will be able to transport passengers to and from the newly constructed intermodal terminal at Orlando International Airport once the route is completed. This terminal is located in the brand-new terminal C of the airport, which is scheduled to have its official inauguration in September of this year (2022).

The project recently passed an important new benchmark when one of the Brightline high-speed trains, which has been given the name Bright Blue 2, made its first voyage to the brand-new Orlando International Airport train station for the very first time.

Where exactly will the passenger be taken by the new route?

When it is finished and put into service, the new route will provide connections for travelers traveling between Orlando International Airport and the following stations:

In due time, there will be an additional three stations added to the route. At stations in Boca Raton, Aventura, and Port Miami, where next year there will be a brand-new giant cruise liner terminal, construction work has already started.

Brightline also has significant plans to extend its service to Disney Springs, which will make it much simpler for visitors traveling into Orlando International Airport to connect with transportation to the world-famous Disney theme parks.

A connection station is also going to be added in the city of Tampa according to the current blueprints.

It was recently announced that Brightline intends to construct a new route that would transport passengers between Los Angeles, California and the “City of Sins,” Las Vegas, and the trip will take around three hours longer than driving.

How long will it take to go to Miami using the new route that goes via Orlando International Airport?

The voyage from Miami International Airport to Orlando International Airport is anticipated to take three hours, which is much less time than the typical travel time between the two cities by car.

High-speed trains operated by Brightline are responsible for making this a reality. These trains are capable of traveling at maximum speeds of up to 125 miles per hour throughout the route.

Additionally, it provides an additional choice for passengers who are interested in reaching the central business district of Miami. They may now choose to either make a connection at Orlando International Airport or hire a vehicle to drive themselves to their destination.

When will the new rail line begin to have regular service?

Although it has not yet been confirmed when exactly customers would be able to travel on the new Brightline high-speed route between Miami and Orlando International Airport, it is anticipated that the route will open sometime in the early part of the year 2023.
