Flynas Begins A Twice-weekly Jeddah-Tashkent Service

Nonstop flights between Jeddah and Tashkent, the city of Uzbekistan, will commence on September 15, according to Flynas, the biggest low-cost airline in the Middle East and a Saudi enterprise. Flynas made the announcement on September 15.

Flynas will operate two nonstop flights each week between Jeddah and Tashkent, connecting the two cities directly. On Mondays and Thursdays, passengers will be able to board flights that depart from and land at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah.

Earlier this month, on the sidelines of a meeting of the Saudi-Uzbek Business Council in Jeddah, Flynas signed a memorandum of understanding with the Uzbek Ministry of Transportation. This paved the way for the airline to begin operating direct flights between Jeddah and Tashkent. As a result of the strengthening of cooperation in the sector of air transport brought about by the agreement, direct flights between Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan will soon be possible. This will make it simpler for individuals doing the pilgrimage and the Umrah to travel between the two nations, as well as for persons from either country to move freely between them for the sake of tourism and investment.

This is because Flynas has a goal to expand, which was revealed at the beginning of the year with the phrase “We Connect the World to the Kingdom,” and because the firm increased in all of its activities during the first half of 2022. Both of these factors contributed to this outcome.

Flynas was successful in growing their fleet from 25 aircraft in January 2021 to 38 aircraft in June 2022, representing an increase of 52% from their starting point. Meanwhile, the total number of passengers who traveled on its flights grew to almost 4 million during the first half of 2022. This is a roughly 120% increase from the approximately 1.8 million passengers who traveled on its flights during the same time period in 2021.

Since it first began operations in 2007, the Saudi airline has transported more than 60 million customers to more than 70 locations throughout the country and beyond the world.

Recently, Flynas was awarded the highest rating possible by the non-profit organization APEX’s Official Airline Rating. Flynas was placed in the 4-star low-cost carrier category, which is the highest category of low-cost airlines out of 600 firms globally.

Additionally, it was granted the Skytrax International Award for Low-Cost Airline of the Year in the Middle East for the years 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2021. It has been recognized as the best low-cost airline serving the Middle East by the World Travel Awards for the last seven consecutive years.
