Ethiopian Airlines (ET) has begun nonstop service between Dulles International Airport (IAD) and Lomé–Tokoin Airport (LFW), which is located in Togo. This flight route was previously only available in one direction.
The first aircraft of the new three-times-weekly service between IAD and LFW took off today. This service is intended to assist in connecting Ethiopian’s network of US tourists traveling around Africa. The following is the schedule for today:
On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays, flight ET0516 departs Addis Ababa Bole International Airport (ADD) at 8:50 in the morning and arrives at LFW at 11:20 in the afternoon. The departure time is 12:35, and the arrival time at IAD is 19:20, both of which are in local time.
Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays are the days when flight ET0517 departs from IAD at 21:15 and arrives at LFW at 11:15+1. It departs at 12:55+1 and arrives at ADD at 21:20+1, all of these timings according to the local time zone.
Ethiopian Airlines has four passenger flights to the United States, all of which depart from Dublin or Lomé and go to one of three airports in the United States: Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD), Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), or John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK).

ET is a member of the Star Alliance and now provides service to more than 127 international passenger and cargo destinations across five continents. Washington Dulles International Airport is now providing service to a total of 40 capital cities across the world. The most recent addition to this list is Lomé, Togo, a city known for the warmth of its people and the natural splendor of its surroundings.
Ethiopian Airlines already operates a daily flight between Dulles and Addis Ababa, and this new route will supplement that operation. We are thrilled to provide this new nonstop service to the Gulf of Guinea and other locations in continental Africa. As the only area in North America where Ethiopian provides daily service, we are the only airline that can make this claim.
