Entry Procedures In Saint Lucia Have Been Simplified
The Government of Saint Lucia is changing its international arrival regulations in order to provide travelers with a more straightforward experience.
Beginning on Saturday, March 5, 2022, fully vaccinated travellers and in-transit passengers aged 5 and over will be required to have a negative rapid Covid-19 antigen test or a negative fast Covid-19 PCR test performed one day prior to entering Saint Lucia to be admitted.
A negative RT-PCR Covid-19 test result obtained up to five days before to arrival is likewise acceptable from travelers.
The results of an RT-PCR Covid-19 test done up to five days prior to entry into Saint Lucia must be negative for all unvaccinated visitors entering the country.
All travelers must register their details and submit their test results online before to departure at www.stlucia.org/covid-19 before leaving their home country.
They will automatically get an email stating that they are “ready to travel.” To board a plane, passengers no longer need to go through the previously needed two-step permission procedure.
“These big improvements are welcome news for tourists and returning nationals alike, as they result in a streamlined procedure, better access to testing, and a considerable decrease in costs.” “We have been listening to our tourism community in the United States, the United Kingdom, the Caribbean, and throughout the globe,” stated Lorine Charles-St. Jules, Chief Executive Officer of the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority.
Rapid antigen testing must be performed by a qualified healthcare professional.
Saliva testing and tests conducted by the patient are not approved. Tests performed by the NHS in the United Kingdom are not valid for international travel.
Visitors who have not been vaccinated may continue to stay in Covid-certified establishments.
Returning nationals who have not been vaccinated are compelled to remain in quarantine for a period of seven days. As of January 2022, 90 percent of tourists arriving in Saint Lucia have had all of their recommended vaccinations.
