Easyjet Launches Summer Trips Connecting Aberdeen Via Manchester - Travelrnews

easyJet, Scotland’s biggest airline, has started the first flights on its seasonal summer route from Aberdeen to Manchester, which will operate until the end of September. The airline’s double-daily service to London Gatwick, which operates throughout the summer months, has also just begun operations.

In addition, these routes will improve domestic connectivity from Scotland to important cities throughout the United Kingdom, benefiting consumers seeking a city break, a chance to meet with family or friends, a handy business link, or a connecting flight to a variety of European locations. Also worth visiting this summer is Aberdeen, which provides the ideal combination of active city life and natural beauty, including museums, art galleries, and nature trails as well as designer shopping and whiskey tasting experiences.

For the first time this year, flights to Manchester will take off on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday between 28 March and 28 October 2022. The flights will operate up to five times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays between 28 March and 28 October 2022, providing vital connectivity between the regions throughout the summer.

Flights to London Gatwick are now available twice daily during the summer season between 28 March and 29 October 2022, with flights leaving in both the morning and afternoon. This service will provide easy connections to London and the southern English cities.

According to Ali Gayward, easyJet’s Country Manager for the United Kingdom, “We are happy that we are celebrating the commencement of our summer operations from Aberdeen today, and that we are giving even more options for our business and leisure clients equally.” Despite being the biggest airline in Scotland, we are committed to providing reasonable tickets and easy connections for our customers in Scotland as well as for those from other parts of the United Kingdom who want to enjoy the amazing things that Scotland has to offer.

We are looking forward to what we believe to be a great summer for easyJet, with intentions to return to levels of flying that are comparable to those of 2019.” The return of additional clients has piqued our interest,” says the team.

“It is fantastic to see easyJet expanding its offering and presence at Aberdeen International Airport with the seasonal Manchester route returning today and the London Gatwick service now available twice daily,” said Mark Beveridge, Operations Director at Aberdeen International Airport. “The seasonal Manchester route is returning today, and the London Gatwick service is now available twice daily.”

As we all know, improving our connectivity will be critical to the economic revival of the north east, and we know the Gatwick route has been quite popular, so we are glad that easyJet is increasing its daily frequency to match demand.”

The announcement of the reopening of this route was met with excitement by our passengers and stakeholders, who are also pleased with the new enhanced frequency.

“These routes are important economic arteries for the North-east, and the area is grateful to easyJet for linking these places to Aberdeen,” said Russell Borthwick, chief executive of the Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce.

“Not only do these vital roads link our company to major markets, but they also link the rest of the United Kingdom to our plethora of culture, incredible history, delicious food and drink, and one of the most stunning landscapes on the face of the planet.”

“Rebuilding our connection is one of the most difficult issues we have as we work to rebuild a better post-pandemic economy, and today’s announcement marks a huge step forward,” says the president.

“The doubling of the daily service from London Gatwick and the reinstatement of the seasonal service from Manchester is very beneficial for the area, as prospective tourists begin to plan their summer vacations,” said Chris Foy, CEO of VisitAberdeenshire.

Visitors will find much to interest them in our magnificent natural beauty, possibilities for outdoor adventures, culture and rich history, and the very best of local cuisine and drink. These routes will make our part of Scotland even more accessible to those who want to come.”

This summer, easyJet expects to fly almost five times as many tickets from Aberdeen as it did at the same period last year, servicing more destinations and giving more choice for passengers in the North East of Scotland, according to the airline.

easyJet includes 4 Scottish airports and flies to more than 46 locations in Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa. The airline operates over 94 flights from Scotland to destinations in Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa.
