Bali Has Record-Breaking 2024 Cruise Ship Schedule

BUMN PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Pelindo) Regional III has announced that there would be a considerable rise in the number of cruise ship registrations at Benoa Harbor, Bali, slated for the year 2024. This comes as a positive development for Bali’s cruise tourist business. AA Gede Agung Mataram, the General Manager of Pelindo Regional III Benoa, expressed his excitement and said that there has been a discernible increase in interest in Bali as a market for cruise tourism.

When compared to the records that were kept from January to December 2023, which accounted for a total of 51 cruise ships, the data indicating that 68 cruise ships are expected to arrive in Bali during the following year demonstrates significant growth. Benoa Harbor was visited by 31 cruise ships even before the end of the first ten months of the year 2023.

In addition, the average length of all cruise ships that are planned to dock in the year 2024 is more than 294 meters. As part of this development, the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line plans to make Benoa Harbor a regular stop for its cruise ships that are sailing routes in Southeast Asia that begin in Singapore. These routes will originate in Singapore. This new development marks a transition from ships making rare trips to ships making more regular presences, with several stops being made at Singapore, Benoa, and Celukan Bawang.

On October 30, 2023, it is anticipated that the luxury cruise liner Celebrity Solstice, which is 317 meters in length, would arrive at Benoa Harbor. This ship, which was built in 2008 and is renowned for its magnificence, will be the first to dock in Benoa Harbor in Denpasar, Bali, if all goes according to plan. Benoa Harbor is located in the capital city of Bali. The cruise ship is slated to make a stop at the port for a period of two days during which a variety of different tourist activities will be organized to accommodate the anticipated arrival of about 3,000 people, including the crew.

In addition, Benoa Harbor has a docking space that is large enough to simultaneously handle two cruise ships that have a combined total of 500 meters in length. This growth in cruise ship trips to Bali is reflective of the region’s rising reputation as a primary destination for cruise passengers. As a result, Bali’s position on the map of global cruise tourism has been further cemented as a result.
