According to Mr Nash, “we are prepared to lay out the green and gold carpet for our Australian neighbors.”
Mr Nash said that he did not anticipate tourist numbers to suddenly return to levels seen prior to COVID.
In his words, “we aren’t anticipating pre-COVID figures in the foreseeable future.”
“The one thing we know about Australians is that they are the country that travels the most for skiing,” says the author.
When asked whether travelers should be prepared to isolate if they test positive while in New Zealand, Ms Ardern said they should be.
In her words, “I’d want to think about the fact that New Zealand has a gold standard framework for caring for persons with COVID in their homes.”
