Aruba Will Pay Tourist Baggage Fees As Part Of Current Promotion

Aruba’s tourism authorities stated that the island is launching a new Lose Your Baggage initiative to assist holidaymakers in covering the cost of baggage fees.

Starting on April 1 and running through May 31, passengers who submit their planned itinerary, airline confirmation, or other documentation of an intended trip to Aruba will be eligible for a $60 Visa Gift Card to cover the cost of their checked luggage at the airport. Travel must be completed before the end of the year.

Travelers may take advantage of special on-island promotions, which include tour discounts. For example, Pelican Adventures is providing 15 percent off activities with the code PELICAN15, while Red Sail Adventures is offering a 20 percent discount on one snorkel excursion with the code ArubaEffect20.

According to Ronella Croes, CEO of the Aruba Tourism Authority, “We know visitors are ready to start on their next adventure, which is why we’re urging them to leave their emotional baggage at home and embark on a refreshing vacation to Aruba.” It is our hope that visitors would appreciate the transforming experience that is The Aruba Effect, and that they will witness how it may elevate their mood while lowering their defenses.

Lost Your Baggage is a promotion that is part of Aruba’s new advertising effort, The Aruba Effect, which includes a website, digital videos, organic social and display advertising, as well as unique collaborations with HBO, Hulu, Paramount, Discovery+, and other media outlets.

This year, the Aruba Effect will be felt in a number of major cities, including New York, Chicago, Boston, Miami, Houston, and others.
