Following the announcement of its intention to terminate its service to Monrovia in April 2022, Air France issued an official statement.
At Charles De Gaulle International Airport in Paris, France, on March 9th, 2022, Mr. Jean-Marc Pouchol, Air France Vice President for Africa, and Mr. Jean-Luc Mevellec, Air France Regional Director for West Africa, were invited and met with Hon. Samuel A. Wlue, Minister of Transportation, Republic of Liberia to inform him about Air France operations in Liberia. The meeting took place at Charles De Gaulle International Airport in Paris, France.
On the basis of recent economic performance, the present geopolitical scenario, and Air France-overall KLM’s goal to restore profitability, the airline has chosen to discontinue its flights from Paris to Liberia beginning at the end of April 2022.
Customers who have already made reservations for flights departing beyond the end of April will be contacted separately.. Customers who are affected by this decision may alter their travel arrangements or cancel their trip and obtain a reimbursement.
It is with gratitude that Air France expresses its appreciation to the Liberian government and the airport authorities for their continuous assistance in the operation of the route.
