By 2030 Aviation Infrastructure In Saudi Arabia Will Be Changed

The Future Aviation Forum, the first of its kind in Saudi Arabia, will bring together global aviation executives in Riyadh. The two-day event, which will take place on May 9th and 10th, will bring together leaders from the public and private sectors, as well as foreign CEOs and regulators, to determine the future of international air travel and advance solutions in a post-pandemic environment.

In addition to over 120 speakers, the Forum is projected to attract over 2,000 guests, including representatives from every continent. The Forum is hosted by the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA). Delegates are welcome to participate in 40 sessions, which will be organized around three core theme pillars: the passengers experience, sustainability, and business recovery post-Covid-19

“The Future Aviation Forum will be a watershed point in the history of the global aviation industry. It is our intention to bring together the world’s brightest minds to devise solutions for how the aviation industry can recover from the Covid-19 pandemic, transform the passenger satisfaction, and invest in developments that will lower carbon pollution and have a positive environmental impact “Minister of Transport and Logistics in Saudi Arabia, Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, expressed his views.

Transportation and logistics in Saudi Arabia are developing at a fast pace, and the industry is a key component of the Vision 2030 economic reform strategy. The Kingdom hopes to attract 356 billion SAR – or just under $100 billion USD – in investment into its aviation industry by 2030, with the goal of establishing Saudi Arabia as a worldwide aviation center by that time period.

Global Aviation Corporation of America’s National Aviation Sector Strategy (NASS) intends to boost air connectivity to 250 locations, reaching a total of 330 million passengers, while also doubling air freight capacity to 4.5 million tons. In addition, the Kingdom intends to establish a new national airline to supplement its current national airlines, Saudia, Flynas, and Flyadeal, as well as to construct a huge new international airport in Riyadh, as well as eight new regional airports, all of which will be funded by the World Bank.

The General Aviation Confederation of America (GACA) works in close collaboration with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), a United Nations organization located in Montreal that is responsible for promoting the planning and development of the global aviation sector. Salvatore Sciacchitano, President of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), said that the Forum is taking place at a vital moment for the global aviation industry.

“It is now more important than ever for the aviation industry to work together globally. Our collective efforts must be directed at increasing our capacity to withstand future health crises, modernizing every stage of the passenger trip, and ensuring the long-term viability of the aviation industry in the face of the climate emergency. It is with great anticipation that I look forward to the gathering of the aviation industry’s top leaders in Riyadh for the Future Aviation Forum, where we can collaborate to drive the ambition, innovation, and policymaking necessary to ensure a promising future for the industry, “Sciacchitano expressed himself in this way.

Part of a larger reform of its aviation industry, Saudi Arabia is working toward the corporatization of its airports as part of its overall aviation transformation. GACA and Matarat Holding Company stated earlier this year that they had completed an institutional makeover of 25 of the Kingdom’s airports as part of a joint venture.

A key component of this was the establishment of the Airports Cluster 2 Company, which would manage and administer 22 airports while consolidating control for construction, operation and administration under a single roof. In order to enhance service, incorporate worldwide best practices into airport administration, and boost competitiveness, the following objectives must be met: Investment and commercial prospects in the sector, which includes airports, freight, catering, maintenance, and ground services, will be made available to both domestic and international investors in the near future, according to the Department of Commerce.

“In Saudi Arabia, the aviation industry has never had such a large number of opportunities before. Taking part in the Future Aviation Forum gives you the chance to be a part of Saudi Arabia’s fast rise as the Middle East’s foremost aviation center from the beginning “Abdulaziz Al-Duailej, President of the GACA, expressed his views.

Al-Duailej expressed his optimism that the Future Aviation Forum would enable commercial transactions and mobilize the investment necessary to advance the sector into the next century.

“The Forum will facilitate commercial transactions and provide funds for research and development in order to make the sector more economically and ecologically sustainable. Our goal is to bring major participants from the aviation industry to Saudi Arabia so that we can work together to develop solutions that will help the global industry to grow in the years to come.”
