$ 173.9 million bailout for Kenya Airways

The Kenyan National Assembly has passed a USD1.2 billion extra budget for fiscal years 2021/22, according to Bloomberg, which would provide Kenya Airways with a USD173.9 million rescue.

Chief Executive Officer Allan Kilavuka told Bloomberg that until the government converts the bailout into stock in the future, the rescue would most likely take the form of a loan to the company.
